URAGO is a mobility technology platform operating ride hailing, commercial transport, and parcel delivery solutions across Kolkata, West Bengal and surrounding operational zones. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how your personal data is collected, processed, and safeguarded.
2. Information We Collect
A. Rider / Customer Information:
- Account Details: Full name, phone number, email address, and profile photo.
- Location Data: Precise GPS location during trip booking, pickup, and transit to facilitate driver matching and live route navigation.
- Transaction & Trip Data: Origin, destination, route taken, fare amount, promo codes, and payment transaction references.
B. Driver Partner Information:
- Identity & Compliance Documents: Driving Licence, Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), Commercial Insurance, Pollution Under Control (PUC), Vehicle Fitness Certificate, and Commercial Transport Permits.
- Vehicle Information: Registration number, vehicle model, color, and seating capacity.
- Real-time Continuous Location: Foreground and background geolocation while driver is in "Online" status or executing a ride to enable dispatch, passenger tracking, and safety monitoring.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data strictly for operational, safety, and compliance purposes:
- Matching passengers with nearby available drivers.
- Verifying driver compliance documents through our administrative verification process before granting online ride access.
- Facilitating secure in-app payments, refunds, and driver wallet payouts.
- Ensuring trip safety with SOS triggers and ride tracking.
- Complying with applicable Indian Motor Vehicles Acts and state transport department guidelines.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
Your information is only shared under strict operational necessity:
- Between Riders and Drivers: Only necessary trip details (first name, vehicle details, pickup point, phone via masked call or in-app chat) are shared.
- Regulatory & Law Enforcement: When mandated by subpoena, court order, or official inquiry under Indian criminal and transport regulations.
5. Account Deletion & Right to be Forgotten
URAGO fully respects your right to delete your account and erase your personal data:
- In-App Deletion: Registered riders can permanently initiate deletion directly via Account → Settings → Delete Account.
- Web Portal Request: You can submit an account and data erasure request anytime through our official public portal: URAGO Account Deletion Request Portal.
Upon receiving your request, personal identifiers, contact numbers, and stored preferences will be removed within 15 to 30 business days. Financial transaction receipts and statutory compliance records will be retained solely for the duration required by Indian taxation and transport laws.
